I had seen the stories of people who had totally transformed themselves with Ideal Bodies Online in a few different magazines. I checked out the website, pondering for many months.

I then received a photo from a friend taken at the Races for Melbourne Cup Day Nov 2010. That was it. I needed to get myself in shape. I have always had an active life and have been a gym member for 4 years. Working out 4 to 5 times per week. Exercise was not my issue. My diet was what was letting me down.

The exercise plans that were provided for me had great variety and challenges. I looked forward to each and every session. I especially loved the weight training.

I was totally focussed on making this program work for me. I even stayed strong over all the Christmas party period. I was so proud of myself. I was on a mission.

Over my 12 week journey, during the first 6 weeks, I could see results every week. By week 10, I could feel that my progress had slowed, I was disappointed. I was definitely contemplating not having a photo shoot. However I still booked it in and now I had to make the results happen.

With the advice from Hilary, Sharna and Kristin, a plan was devised to break through my plateau for weeks 11 and 12, even though I was away on holidays, I maintained my focus, as I was not going to let circumstances defeat me.

I could not believe their reading. 54.5kg, I had smashed my 58kg goal. Upon checking my body measurements, I was amazed at the end results. I had lost a total of 52cm all over. I have never been this size my whole adult life. I had only dreamt of these results. Now I can see the results of my patience, consistency and dedication.

I am now in control, feel fantastic on the inside and out, my confidence has been boosted dramatically, what more could I ask for!

I now know what portion sizes and types of foods to eat during the different times of the day, and I know that I will be able to follow my new healthy way of living indefinitely.

Linda's Favourite recipe

  • Creamy porridge for breakfast – oats, cottage cheese, dash of vanilla, and a drizzle of maple syrup. (This has been my staple breakfast during the 12 weeks. I had never eaten cottage cheese before, and now it has become my staple for breakfast)
  • Banana Smoothie – 1 small frozen banana blended with 1 cup low fat milk. So creamy and delicious.
